The Gala Committee met recently to discuss this summers Gala and the distribution of funds.  It was agreed that 50% will go to the Gala Common Good Fund, 25% to the participating groups and 25% to The Grant Hall.  It was also agreed by the group to hold this year's Gala in June as the weather in recent years has been problematic.
The programme of event will be:
Fun Run    Friday 18 June
Treasure Hunt  Sunday 20 June
Prize Bingo    Tuesday 22 June
School Ceilidh  Thursday 24 June
Gala Day & Marquee Dance Sunday 27 June
Further suggestions are being looked at.

Majorettes
The Majorettes are at present training for their week long trip to Berwick where the girls compete against girls and boys from all over Britain.  It is a very hard week but a very rewarding one where many new friendships are made and old ones rekindled.
Rothes have always done well on the medal and trophy presentation day, so with all the hard work that the girls are putting in, I'm sure this year will be no exception.
The girls, as every year, will put on a display of their work for Berwick in the Grant Hall on Sunday 21st March at 2pm with tea and biscuits.
The Majorettes held a Coffee Morning and Soup and Sweet on 30 January when £256 was raised.
All fund-raising over the past few months have been to raise funds to help pay half of the £950 to buy new troup dresses.  Parents have paid the other half.
The dresses have arrived and the girls are delighted with them;  we are very fortunate to have talented mums who will be making our hats to match the new dresses.
New beginners class will be starting on Tuesday 13 April from 5pm to 6pm - all ages welcome.
Thanks must go to the people of Rothes for their support.
