A TRIP OF A LIFETIME

Jenny Paterson, 5 Green Street left Rothes on Friday for a trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to visit Rhona and Bryan Gray.  It is about 40 years since the sisters last spent Christmas together.  We wish them a very Happy Christmas.  Jenny comes home on 12 January.

TAEK WON-DO SUCCESS

Lori Walters took part in a national Tae Kwon-Do competition and won gold, silver and bronze medals in the 13 - 17 years heavy weight group and hold the title of overall British Champion.  Lori's coach is Sean Cattenach of Aberlour.  Well Done Lori!

DEATH NOTICE

Mrs. Doreen Bell (nee Robertson) died suddenly in St. John's Hospital, Livingston on 24th September 1998.  Her husband, Johnnie, who has suffered ill health for over a year died on 14th November.  Doreen always loved Rothes and spent most of her holiday time here.  During their last visit in July 1997, they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in the company of their sons David and Sandy, daughter in Laws Barbara and Ellen and a few of their Rothes friends.

Rothes Library will be open on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th December only through the festive period.

By the year 2000, 25 million people in the UK will be connected to the internet.  If you have not accessed the substantial volume of information offered by the internet you will not know how exciting, interesting and informative it is.

Would you like to have access to the internet in Rothes?
The Moray Council is currently promoting the use of the internet and are keen to bring you, the people of Rothes, a community web allowing local information to be published on the internet.
