This website is brought to you from the efforts of  the Rothes Community Web Group.

The Rothesian is prepared and published by Pearl Paul, Jean Allen Sandra Ross and Chris Hamilton.

Rothes-on-Spey Community Web initially was established from the funding and equipment received from The Moray Council and Objective 1 EU funds.   As well as Rothes, the Community Web project covers Tomintoul-Glenlivet, Aberlour, Dufftown, Forres and Kinloss-Findhorn Community Webs.

The Project aims to improve IT literacy, increase internet awareness, offer a new facility to the community and to promote the local area, entice tourists and offer businesses advertising space on the world wide web.

A computer with internet access was installed in Linnburn Day Care Centre, Rothes on Thursday 15 April 1999. The facility then transferred to the Visitor's Centre at 22, High Street. (8th June, 2000) . A new Visitor and Heritage Centre has now opened in New Street at what was once Elspeth's.

The Community Web facility is available for locals and visitors to surf the world wide web, send and receive e-mail and to view the Rothes Community Web Pages.
