The Worship and Praise Committee decided to hold a Flower Festival in May. They wrote to every organisation in town and asked them if they would be willing to take part by putting flowers in the church. The response was very good so the Church Social Committee also got involved. It was decided to provide a Soup and Sweet Lunch and Afternoon Teas. Tickets, priced £2.00, were put on sale and pretty soon Church Elders and Board Members were all roped in to help, either in the kitchen or in the Church as guides. It was a very busy day, but well worth the effort. £473.00 went toward the refurbishment of the Lesser Church Hall.

On Sunday a joint Service was held with Knockando Church. As this is the Year of Love, everyone felt it was an appropriate time to hold a Year of Love Service as the Church was looking so nice. Afterwards the flowers were donated to The Fleming Hospital and Speyside Home in Aberlour, Linnburn Day Care Centre in Rothes and the remainder to people in town.
