Seven girls from the Fenton School of Dance have returned from a very successful week at Berwick-on-Tweed. They are Kim and Leigh Fenton, Kimberly and Claire Westmacott, Lynn Allan, Diane McKenzie and Wendy Gordon. All won Medals and Certificates for a variety of disciplines, such as Solo Work, Double Baton and Freestyle. Some of the girls were competing in groups of 10 or more, with only 6 places given in each Category.
Diane, Leigh and Lynn won overall in their age group, based on points won, with Lynn and Leigh winning the Champion of Champion Trophies. As there were only 5 Trophies to be won it was a real triumph for teacher, Marion Fenton and her group, to see 2 Rothes girls up there. Two years ago at this Annual Festival, everyone was asking "where is Rothes?". Next year they'll be saying "Here comes Rothes!"
The Majorettes are grateful to everyone who has supported them and helped get them to this and other Festivals.
