There have now been over ninety salmon landed on the Aberlour beat , lots of fish around , with seventeen caught at Kinermony last week and eleven on the other side of the river at Wester Elchies. Craigellachie beat had a good start to the week but this did not continue though it is believed that they had a twenty pound plus fish yesterday (May 12th).

The lower beats good sport continued most of week with over 10 fish caught.Things are looking good at the moment. The bank cutting continues to go well and looks nice and tidy. We should be seeing a few grilse soon as the river level is now starting to drop which will suit some beats more than others,there are also a few brown trout moving now with the warmer water, there was a nice Two and a half pounder that escaped capture after a midair leap on Saturday but we know it
will still be there for another day.
